Summary of Job Duties

The part-time Research Analyst works under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Research. Duties include:

  • Completing National Student Clearinghouse Enrollment and Degree verification reporting, including error and rejection resolution.
  • Assisting the director with recurring and periodic data requests.
  • Collecting and organizing data to support the college's Strategic Plan, Enrollment Management Plan, and student body diversity data.
  • Calculating success rates by course, delivery type, and instructor, as well as program-specific graduation rates.
  • Updating publicly displayed documents on the website such as semester summaries, graduation and retention rates, graduates by program, and employment data.
  • Assisting with data quality related to the SIS conversion to the Workday operating system.
  • Completing requests for student information needed for text communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in business or related area.
  • Job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Chancellor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, research, business administration, education, or a related field.
  • One year of higher education experience in research, reporting, and/or data analytics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Knowledge of office management principles, methods, and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic research, analyze information, and prepare logical and informative reports.
