About the Internship

This exciting opportunity is designed to engage high-caliber PhD candidates in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with a focus on Control. As a Research Scientist Intern, Motion Control Algorithm, you will collaborate with expert researchers and cross-functional teams to enhance Meta products directly through your research. This internship varies from 12 to 24 weeks with multiple start dates throughout the year, accommodating your academic commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine control algorithms for implementation on various hardware architectures.
• Prototype, build, and evaluate experimental systems and custom hardware.
• Publish significant research findings that impact Meta products directly.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current or soon-to-be PhD candidate specializing in areas relevant to Control.
• Deep understanding of linear and nonlinear control theory, signal processing, and system identification.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Skills in embedding control systems within microcontroller environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-group and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Record of substantial achievements including publications, patents, or similar recognitions.
• Experience with motion control, sensor fusion, and laser metrology is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
