We at Reality Labs by Meta are excited to invite applications for the role of Research Scientist. Dive into the forefront of technological evolution in neuromotor interfaces, initially spearheaded by our acquisition of CTRL-labs. Our mission is to refine interaction within virtual and augmented realities through the non-invasive measurement of neuromotor signals via surface electromyography (EMG).
Role Overview
As a Research Scientist at Reality Labs, you will:
- Develop cutting-edge Deep Learning and computational models.
- Design tools and infrastructure to manipulate and analyze extensive multimodal datasets.
- Set and guide the technical direction for a talented team of researchers and engineers.
- Transition groundbreaking research into practical, innovative products.
- Utilize modern parallel computing environments to enhance machine learning methods.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A Ph.D. in fields such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Statistics/Mathematics.
- Proven experience in developing scalable machine learning models from concept to impact.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- An understanding of software application architecture.
- Eligibility to work within the country of employment at the time of hiring and maintain work authorization throughout the employment period.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates would also have:
- First-author publications in top-tier AI conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, and ICML.
- Industry experience in software engineering.
- Experience in transitioning machine learning products from research to production stages.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $143,000/year to $208,000/year plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Final individual compensation will depend on job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
