Scope of Responsibility
The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role by leveraging multiple analytical tools and techniques to identify and solve business problems. The objective is to develop standardized methodologies that enhance ROI.
Purpose of the Position
This Specialist position involves working on various projects that support our company's goals and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to generate insights for management.
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for business growth through data analysis.
- Present findings clearly to facilitate decision-making processes.
- Gather missing data as required.
- Forecast sales trends by compiling and analyzing data over time.
- Maintain regular communication with the management team.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-departmental stakeholders.
- Solve business problems using multiple analytical tools and techniques.
- Analyze reports to identify operational issues and determine root causes.
- Utilize advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining algorithms.
- Effectively communicate analysis results to business teams using strong verbal and written skills.
- Implement and maintain business solutions to enhance performance.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize and address their needs and requests.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support regional and global business needs.
- Enhance efficiency through tools and processes, including training and communication.
- Ensure report accuracy through process enforcement and data entry when necessary.
- Develop methods for assessing large datasets.
- Manage simultaneous data analysis requests from multiple sources.
- Generate ad hoc reporting and analysis for the business and management teams.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or BE, B.Tech. in Computers. A PGDM/MBA in Business Analytics from a reputed institution is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of functional experience, preferably in an industry and/or consulting analytics role.
Technical Skills
- Programming: R, Python, SQL, PySpark
- Data Visualization: Tableau
- Knowledge of Statistics and Mathematics
- Additional Requirements: JavaScript, CSS
Required Skills
- Implement data-driven solutions using advanced ML and optimization algorithms.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to build scalable, automated ML-based pipelines.
- Ensure high data quality and correctness in downstream processes.
- Familiarity with theoretical aspects of common ML techniques and statistical tests.
- Hands-on experience in Anomaly Detection, Time Series Analysis, Product Clustering, Demand Forecasting, or Intertemporal Optimization.
- Strong programming skills (R/Python/SQL).
- Ability to build frameworks for data collection and analysis.
- Translate stakeholder needs into analytical project designs and insights.
- Lead communications to identify data sources and specify detailed data requests.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a cross-functional organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills for adopting and encouraging data insights.
- Attention to detail.
