Location: Hybrid Role (Minimum three days in-office)

Job Summary

Our Provider & Network Data Science team is in search of an experienced and motivated Senior Analytics and Reporting Analyst to help shape the future of healthcare. As a Senior Analytics and Reporting Analyst, you will create actionable, data-driven products for organizational leaders using your expertise in healthcare, machine learning, statistics, and stakeholder management. You will independently transform large datasets into compelling narratives on how to lower costs and improve network quality using the power of machine learning.

About the Team

The Provider and Network Data Science (PNDS) team at HCSC delivers advanced analytics and insights, paving the way to improve healthcare through ensuring coverage that is affordable, accessible, appropriate, effective, and equitable. Our team is dedicated to developing innovative solutions to emerging healthcare challenges, leveraging complex datasets and a robust technical toolkit to create and apply predictive models and advanced statistical insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creatively solve problems using large datasets from various internal and external sources, including claims and provider data.
  • Create, develop, and implement end-to-end machine learning models and advanced analytical solutions to support and influence business needs.
  • Partner closely with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership, clinical experts, business teams, and subject matter experts.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and address gaps, opportunities, and key considerations.
  • Document and share findings through technical reports, visualizations, and analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree and two (2) years’ experience in data analysis and information reporting data - OR - Four (4) years’ experience in data analysis and information reporting data.
  • Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Solve complex problems with guidance and produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel, or other reporting tools.
  • Verify the accuracy of reports and provide insights, showing knowledge of SQL, SAS, and/or Teradata or other reporting tools/languages.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business, Computer Science/IT, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or related programming languages.
  • Experience creating use cases, business requirements, or testing.
  • Interest in quality improvement and population health management.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills.
