Job Description:

As a member of the Custom Models domain, you will work on one of the key components of the DataRobot MLOps platform, leveraging Kubernetes. We are developing a comprehensive toolset to run user-supplied machine learning models and code, incorporating MLOps features like data drift, accuracy tracking, and retraining. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to help accelerate the development of top-tier solutions for our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Scientists to design and implement new features, delivering end-to-end solutions for both Cloud and Enterprise.
  • Design and develop application-level software in conjunction with Kubernetes Infrastructure and containers.
  • Work with DevOps and Security teams to create Enterprise installation guides and documentation.
  • Lead projects, clearly communicating requirements and scope.
  • Design, build, and document scalable REST APIs using Python Flask and OpenAPI schema.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases.
  • Troubleshoot complex production environments at the application and database levels.
  • Evaluate and validate code through rigorous testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • 7-8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Understanding of networking.
  • Experience building containerized applications.
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish and articulate design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate in teams, share knowledge, and write documentation.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals, including a basic understanding of algorithms and time complexity.
  • Capability to develop quality integration and functional tests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Kubernetes fundamentals with developer-level experience.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals and scripting.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
