Our dynamic team is pivotal in analyzing customer interactions on our platforms to optimize their journey and enhance business operations. Working closely with the New Construction team and Zillow’s Leadership, we strive to provide innovative solutions that simplify the home-buying process. Our collaboration extends across product and engineering teams, fostering an integrated approach to consumer financing experiences.

Role Overview

As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you'll play a vital role in shaping Zillow's business strategy. You will be tasked with:

• Performing ad hoc analyses for key stakeholders in the New Construction and Growth Product teams.
• Creating impactful visualizations that clearly articulate data trends and insights.
• Presenting strategic insights and reviews to executive teams, influencing key business decisions.
• Identifying opportunities within the new construction business to enhance process and product offerings.
• Designing and implementing robust analytic frameworks and solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This position is designed for telework, allowing flexibility in your working location within Mexico, ideally with proximity to Mexico City to participate in occasional office events.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek a curious, motivated, and skilled Big Data Engineer with:

• A degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience, complemented by a strong business acumen.
• At least three years of quantitative data analysis and problem-solving experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Java, SQL, Tableau, and Excel. Familiarity with data pipeline tools is advantageous.
• Experience with Product analytics and BI tools such as Amplitude, MixPanel, Tableau, Mode, and others.
• A history of successfully leading large-scale projects and cross-functional collaborations.
