About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst at Vanna Health, you will play a pivotal role in developing our analytics capabilities. Your primary focus will be on generating data-driven insights from diverse data sources such as payer claims, Vanna’s platform data, health information exchange feeds, and EMR data. Becoming a subject matter expert on Vanna’s data, you will collaborate closely with clinical, operations, product, and engineering teams to advance the technology and services used by Vanna Coaches to provide empathetic care to our members with severe mental illness.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the entire Vanna team to design and implement clinical, operational, financial, and product KPIs.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses for internal stakeholders and clients, presenting findings to drive maximum impact.
• Evolve our core data models to support emerging use cases and develop frameworks to maintain high data quality.
• Build out reporting and dashboarding layers to support self-service analytics.
• Manage the input layer of our data platform, ensuring clinically valid and analytically relevant data ingestion.
• Partner with data engineers to enhance internal data tooling.
• Work closely with the engineering team to integrate algorithms and analytics into user-facing applications.

About You

• 4-6 years of analytics experience, including at least 1 year working with healthcare data.
• Advanced SQL skills, with some familiarity with DBT.
• Experience with analytical data stores like Delta Lake, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.
• Familiarity with dashboarding tools.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Intermediate Python skills, or basic knowledge with a strong desire to learn.
• Databricks experience preferred.
• Some experience with Google Sheets or Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a growing team.
• A detective mindset for solving problems using data.
