Our Internal Audit team is pivotal in conducting third-line assurance activities. As an independent entity, Internal Audit reports to the Board of Director’s Audit and Risk Committee, the CEO, and EMT. Comprised of seasoned professionals, our small, integrated audit team is committed to upholding high standards. The Senior Data Analyst role reports directly to the VP of Internal Audit and Compliance.

Internal Audit is spearheading a robust digital agenda. Digitalization and data analytics are critical components of our forward-thinking audit function. This initiative includes leveraging new tools, utilizing AI in audits, and developing effective analytical models to execute data-driven audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions for internal audit execution using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Conduct and facilitate data analysis from multiple sources as per the audit plan.
  • Enhance Copilot usage across various data environments.
  • Create relevant analyses, benchmarks, and dashboards in collaboration with the Digital function.
  • Work closely with data analytics and performance teams at Aker BP and our digital partners/suppliers.
  • Contribute to high-priority digital insights activities.
  • Participate in the planning of Audit programs and other crucial tasks within the audit team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Economics, Data, or Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Previous experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analyst roles
  • Proficient in SQL, cloud solutions, dimensional modeling, data architecture, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Experience with APIs, data build tools, programming languages, or Azure tools is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and analysis.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian (both written and spoken).
  • Understanding of corporate systems and data structures.
