Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Data Analytics Consultant will play a crucial role in our Global Data Function’s Analytics Excellence team. Your main tasks will include enhancing Cargill’s data consumption capabilities and leading initiatives in Analytics Excellence & Governance, Digital and Data Literacy, and Digital Transformation. This position requires a balance of strategic thought leadership and practical delivery, keeping pace with evolving digital technologies, data practices, analytics techniques, and industry trends.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to uncover digital, data, and analytics solutions that enhance decision-making and foster innovation and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision to mature data and analytics use and develop measures for successful outcomes.
  • Design and deliver training and coaching in new techniques and solutions, enhancing digital and data utilization and creating new value from data.
  • Mentor team members and users in digital solutions and data analysis, aid in the creation and delivery of educational content with the help of subject matter experts.
  • Develop resources like documentation, training materials, and media content to support digital and data literacy initiatives.
  • Investigate new data sources to enhance operational effectiveness and promote the visibility and reuse of analytical solutions within Cargill.
  • Analyze trends within the business and industry to spot opportunities and support ongoing efforts to embed a data-driven culture.

As a recognized expert, you will work independently, guiding junior team members and contributing significantly to our projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • At least six years of pertinent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Extensive experience in digital and data transformation, BI, and developing strategies for data, analytics, and digital tools.
  • Product management expertise, including project oversight and collaboration with experts.
  • Proficient in evaluating the effects of digital and data projects on performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting-edge technologies in digital innovation (AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity).
  • Demonstrated ability to link digital, data, and analytics initiatives to concrete business value.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Robust problem-solving skills with a knack for identifying process enhancements.
  • Experience with self-service analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, KNIME) and SQL.
  • Understanding of Data and Analytics Governance and Data Quality Management.
