AT A GLANCE RVO Health is searching for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Data Engineer at RVO Health, you'll have the opportunity to construct innovative technologies which can revolutionize health outcomes for consumers and have a significant impact throughout the healthcare sector. Your function will be to design, develop, test, and ensure the quality of big data pipelines for ingestion, segmentation, and reporting, allowing us to achieve our goals! What You'll Do: - Take ownership of the technology aspect of data solutions in projects the team is assigned to. - Collate both business and technical requirements by working with a diverse team composed of business analysts, architects, engineers, data analysts, and data scientists. - Use cutting-edge cloud technology to design and build data pipelines from various sources to a destination data warehouse using batch data load strategies. - Conceptualize and create infrastructure that enables data to be analyzed and accessed efficiently. - Document database designs including data models, metadata, ETL specifications, and process flows for business data project integrations. - Conduct periodic code reviews and test plans to guarantee data quality and integrity. - Contribute insights into strategies as they steer the team towards delivering business values and technical acumen. - Conduct proof-of-concept trials, where appropriate, to enhance our technical procedures. What We're Looking For: - 5+ years of data engineering experience - 4+ years of experience with Spark (RDDs / Data Frames / Dataset API) harnessing Scala/Python to build and maintain complex ETL pipelines. - 4+ years of experience in the big data field - Experience in translating business requirements into large scale technical data solutions. - 2+ years of experience with AWS (Kinesis / Kafka / S3 / RedShift) or Azure. - Capable of researching and troubleshooting potential problems within the data ecosystem presented by stakeholders. - Experience using GitHub and CI/CD processes. - Proficiency with Compute technologies like EMR and Databricks. - Familiarity with job orchestration like Airflow / AWS Step Function. - Experience with data modeling, data warehousing. - Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus. - Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills. - Eager, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly. - Ability to work through uncertainties in a rapidly evolving business environment. - Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
