Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

This position is full-time and remote within India.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate technologies, develop POCs, solve technical problems and propose novel solutions for our technical and business issues
• Delight our stakeholders, customers, and partners through creating high quality, well-tested, scalable and reliable business applications
• Design, build, and maintain both streaming and batch data pipelines that are scalable
• Architect, develop, and maintain our Modern Lakehouse Platform using AWS native infrastructure
• Design complex data models to deliver insights and enable self-service
• Assume responsibility for the scaling, performance, security, and reliability of our data infrastructure
• Recruit, guide, and mentor junior engineers
• Engage in an agile development environment, participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with remote development teams and cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining data engineering and BI solutions
• Proficiency with database technologies like Redshift, Synapse DW, Snowflake, etc.
• Familiarity with BI solutions like Looker, Power BI, Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, etc.
• Competence with ETL Design & Orchestration using platforms like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, etc.
• Experience querying large datasets using languages such as Kafka, SQL, Hive, Spark, Presto, etc.
• Skills in performance tuning complex data warehouses and queries
• Ability to solve scale, performance, security, and reliability issues
• Self-driven, proactive with excellent communication skills, ability to inspire and mentor junior engineers, work with cross-functional teams, drive architecture decisions
