Job Description
In charge of uncovering, diagnosing, designing, developing, and maintaining data. You will ensure the effective and accurate data transfer from varying sources, focusing on Salesforce and other core applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality, reliable, and useful data for analytics, reporting, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Extraction: Retrieving data from Salesforce and other core applications using APIs, batch processes, or other relevant methods, while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Data Transformation: Converting raw data into a structured and usable format by applying data cleaning, normalization, and enrichment techniques.
- Data Loading: Designing and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to load data into data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions.
- Data Validation: Carrying out data validation checks and quality assurance processes to identify and correct data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to comprehend requirements and make sure data solutions match business needs.
- Security and Compliance: Following data security and compliance best practices, ensuring the protection of sensitive and confidential information.
- Optimization: Constantly looking for opportunities to optimize and enhance data engineering processes for efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Salesforce and core applications.
- Proficiency in ETL tools and technologies
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Salesforce certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer) is preferred but not crucial.
