Job Description

Introducing data science at Trainline: Data Science is at the heart of how we build products, delight our customers and grow our business. Our Data Scientists are spread across cross-functional teams in both product and marketing. They have significant autonomy and are empowered to drive the success of their teams, utilizing all available data and techniques.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll help develop insights and strategy for the product team, create and measure value through experimentation, focus on goals and metrics, and develop a deep understanding of what is most impactful for each team. You'll be able to decipher the underlying dynamics of our complex ecosystem to provide insights and strategic direction. However, your main focus will be to drive impact within the product team through analytical and statistical techniques that maximize benefits.

Data science at Trainline is part of the wider data organization in the tech domain, supported by data engineering teams, data platform teams, and ML teams for deep ML and AI techniques. Our autonomous model offers immense opportunities for personal influence and impact. As the data scientist on the team, you'll actively drive innovation by contributing to strategy, execution, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

We want to hear from you if you have: Significant experience in Data Science, ability to clearly and effectively communicate results of complex analysis to all levels including senior management, prior experience in product engagement evaluation and success measurement, capability to navigate data sets of varying complexity/ambiguity and conduct analysis to derive clear insights and actionable results, strong PowerPoint and presentation/communication skills, proficiency in data visualization using tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI etc., and expertise in predictive modeling and Machine Learning techniques.
