We’re seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to support our customer and join our dedicated team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist who is motivated by working towards a public sector mission. The perfect candidate will be proficient in data analysis programming languages like Python or R, possess robust statistical skills, and have a deep understanding of databases and data structures. Additionally, experience with data visualization tools, Cloud-based systems, and querying languages, are essential.

What are we looking for:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or equivalent for data analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of statistical techniques and their practical application
  • Experience with databases, data modeling, and data structures
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with Cloud-based systems and AI/Machine Learning development (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Proficiency in querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics)
  • Capability to obtain Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment with Raft

Highly preferred:

  • Proven track record of independent work and managing projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to advise non-technical teams on advanced data topics including,but not limited to, data strategy, applications of emerging data methods and technologies, and privacy management
  • Experience in documenting standard operating procedures, contextualized recommendations, and assisting in creating comprehensive and sustainable data strategy

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
