About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist on our Brand team, you'll be pivotal in enhancing our marketplace by developing new models and algorithms. You will work towards understanding the essential gaps in our market offerings and strategize on acquiring high-value brands based on data-driven insights. By optimizing brand performance from the onset, enhancing quality interactions, and innovating on product discovery, you will directly support our mission of leveling the playing field for small businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Data Science (DS) pod for Brand Growth as a primary thought partner.
• Create models to match marketplace selection with customer demand and recognize high-impact products and brands.
• Develop strategies for engaging new brands and improving their early marketplace interactions.
• Enhance algorithmic approaches for navigating and introducing new brands and products.
• Address unique challenges in a dynamic, two-sided marketplace environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience in machine learning, solving practical problems with measurable impacts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across functions.
• Strong communication skills and a knack for detailed, creative problem-solving.
• Proven knowledge in Python and SQL, with a willingness to learn additional tools as needed.

Salary Range

Depending on your location, salary ranges vary:

• California / New York: $177,500 - $244,000 per year.
• Colorado / Washington / New Jersey: $160,000 - $220,000 per year.
