About the role: We are seeking exceptional hands-on data science, machine learning, and algorithm researchers. Our data science team creates sophisticated machine learning systems that are integral to Forter's unique position in preventing online fraud. At Forter, you will have the opportunity to analyze complex non-static data, innovate, acquire, and demonstrate a wide range of skills and expertise in machine learning while focusing on delivering systems to production and making an impact. What you'll be doing: - Researching and developing innovative machine learning projects until their deployment in production. - Resolving complex, unique data science problems that do not have standardized solutions. Diving deep into complex and multi-dimensional datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential fraud indicators. - Staying abreast of the latest adversarial techniques used by fraudsters. - Collaborating closely with domain experts and researchers to incorporate domain-specific knowledge into our fraud detection models. Collaborating on research projects to explore new approaches and technologies. - Using a wide range of techniques from data science, machine learning, statistics, probability, algorithms, and anything necessary to resolve Forter’s most crucial problems. What you'll need: - Minimum of 5 years' experience with machine learning, data science, statistical, or probabilistic modeling. - Academic degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or another related field, with a GPA of 90+. - Proficiency in Python or another general-purpose programming language. - Proven track record of achieving excellence, assuming ownership, and making a significant impact. - Enjoy solving difficult problems and excel at it. - Love working with others, collaborating, and sharing ideas. - Advanced academic degree is a plus.
