Our data science team is responsible for fostering and fostering a data-first culture across various verticals at Sword by assisting other teams in leveraging their data most efficiently. Our team uses statistics and machine learning to gain insights from an ever-changing product—always working towards enhancing patient care.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Expected to have a profound understanding of data analysis and programming skills, which includes knowledge of statistics, databases, and Python/R.
- Experience in resolving complex business problems using data.
- Able to use complex tools and techniques.
- Able to solve intricate business problems using data.
- Excellent communication skills to convey findings to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical teams.
- Expected to work independently and take responsibility of projects.
- Expected to have project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and lead multiple large-scale projects with cross-functional teams.
- Expected to have an expert understanding of how data can be used to solve complex business problems.
- Able to lead and mentor junior and intermediate Data Scientists, providing guidance and support to assist them develop their skills.
- Participating in the design, execution, and analysis of product rollout experiments.
- Encourage a rigorous statistical testing culture across Sword.
- 4+ years of experience in Data Science roles;
- Experience using descriptive and inferential statistics in a product context;
- Experience utilizing machine learning to derive insights and pinpoint patterns in the data;
- Working knowledge of SQL as well as statistical packages (such as those in R or Python);
- Experience leading complex and ambiguous initiatives autonomously;
- Able to learn quickly and immerse in new subjects;
- Ability to interact clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with irregular time-series/event data;
- A genuine curiosity that motivates you to experiment and try new things.
