Job Description

Apply data science and machine learning methods to resolve intricate issues faced by public sector clients, such as forecasting, predicting patient results, and optimizing resource distribution.Cooperate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and create data-fueled solutions that meet these demands.Develop and implement machine learning models for production.Supervise and maintain machine learning models to assure their precision and performance.Present data science findings to stakeholders in an understandable and succinct manner.Research novel machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to address problems in detecting and preventing financial riskParticipate in the production of new analytical features through prototyping, requirement setting, and implementationShare expertise on analytical methods and tools across engineering and wider business teamsDevelop statistical models and algorithms for integration with products for inferenceCollaborate with development teams to support and enhance the analytical infrastructure

Qualifications

Technical Experience:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Practical knowledge of algorithms and techniques like Regression, decision trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, K-means, anomaly detection, Bayesian theory, Time Series Forecasting etc
• Knowledge of evaluation and explanation techniques in machine learning, e.g., overfitting, bias, cross validation, LIME, SHAP, etc.
• Experience with data science tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience in handling large and complex datasets.

Knowledge of Public Sector:

• Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in public sector organizations.
• Experience in working with public sector data.
• Awareness of public sector regulations and compliance requirements.

Desired Skills:

• Must be eligible for Security Clearance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Commitment towards continual learning and development.
