Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will integrate with various teams to understand challenges within the submarine enterprise, driving insights from in-service data through sophisticated analytics and software solutions. Your effort will support the Royal Navy submarine fleet in gaining a competitive edge through technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems and gather analytics requirements.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and create actionable insights, producing visual reports and dashboards.
• Apply your expertise in Python, SQL, and other analytical tools to develop data-driven solutions.
• Support high-priority projects by providing timely data insights and innovative solutions.

Who We're Looking For:

• Skilled in utilizing statistical analysis, linear regression, and time-series analysis in practical applications.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, matplotlib, plotly, Power BI, pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with software development best practices and tools like Git and Azure pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex data in a simple way.
• A proactive, customer-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
