We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to help develop and launch the next generation of our data compute infrastructure to support autonomous driving.
The Data Platform constructs a scalable compute platform that is used across the company, allowing various teams to access data, derive meaningful automated metrics from the data, and perform different ad-hoc analyses on the data. We handle petabyte-scale data and provide critical functions to enhance the development of a reliable Autonomous Vehicle by enabling various researchers and engineers to understand how the AV executes various tasks and scenarios in real world or simulated environments. The Data Compute Infrastructure team is tasked with constructing the infrastructure to extract information from the data and support parallel data computations for our Machine Learning team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build and maintain scalable data processing solutions in the cloud infrastructure.
- Write high quality, maintainable code
- Contribute to high-level system design, and code reviews
- Engage with stakeholders and team leaders to determine system requirements
- Have a strong sense of ownership and mentorship responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed systems design and architecture
- Experience with Infrastructure Monitoring
- Experience working in cross-functional development teams
- Experience working with microservices
- Experience with large scale computations
- Experience with AWS services and solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various stakeholders, report insights, and rally support for new initiatives and processes
