Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will:

• Provide strategic direction, oversight, and coaching to a diverse range of software engineers handling basic to complex projects.
• Oversee decisions impacting team resources, budget, and tactical operations while leading the execution of processes and procedures.
• Drive successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders, ensuring a harmonious working environment.
• Identify and address issues proactively, escalating concerns when necessary to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Influence leadership on matters related to budgeting, strategic approaches, and technical considerations to elevate operational efficiency and functionality.
• Create and maintain a workplace culture that emphasizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, prioritizing diverse representation at all levels.

Required Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering, complemented by over 5 years of development experience in Python, Pyspark, AWS, React, Integration, and UI technologies.
• Proven experience in leading dynamic teams of technologists, fostering an environment of growth and achievement.
• Strong strategic and technical acumen to guide teams on achieving goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Extensive hiring and team development experience, with a keen eye for recognizing and nurturing talent.
• In-depth understanding of the services industry and IT systems, coupled with a robust knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Hands-on experience in building applications using Microservices, web applications, batch applications, or function as a service, and familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
• Expertise in various SCM, build & deployment tools, code scanning, and testing tools within a CI/CD framework.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience at the code level will be a distinct advantage.
