(Senior) Product Manager (Machine Learning Research)

We are looking for a Product Manager to guide our innovative team in creating state-of-the-art ML-powered products that will enhance our business and revolutionize Allegro. The Machine Learning Research team is dedicated to developing ML products that provide value to the entire organization. We focus on NLP, ranking, retrieval, recommendation, computer vision, and Generative AI.

What will your primary duties be?

• Bridging the technical expertise of the Machine Learning R&D team with the know-how of different Allegro business areas such as Product Catalog Services, Customer Experience Services, Personalisation, Performance Marketing, Search and AI-driven Advertising
• Translating business ideas into Machine Learning concepts by gathering and analyzing technical needs and requirements
• Building ML-based products with clear objectives and key results, defining an appropriate KPI framework to translate ML metrics to product KPI's
• Creating a comprehensive and cohesive portfolio of ML-based products for specific areas like Search or NLP
• Ensuring that the ML-based solution generates insights that are actionable for both the business and engineers to build reliable services
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers and Tech Leaders throughout the organization to align the work between them and data science teams
• Reporting dependencies to the machine learning teams and tech leaders, coordinating dependencies between AI-related projects

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A product focus, experience in defining and executing product vision, managing roadmaps and release plans
• A history of delivered ML-based products with measurable business impact
• The ability to balance and justify priorities from multiple business and technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and operations management teams to deliver online products or services
• Proven ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, negotiate trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with internal and external partners
• The experience to convey the benefits and impact of ML products to engineering teams and business executives fluently
• Strengths in problem-solving, resolving issues, and ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment with high attention to detail
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to back up assumptions, make recommendations, translate technical concepts into real business impact, and drive actions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives
• Entrepreneurial spirit - enthusiasm, commitment, and the business savviness to navigate potential technical, ethical, and organizational hurdles
• Experience in setting KPIs and objectives
