Senior Site Reliability Engineer - On-Premise

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our On-Premise team within the Infrastructure Engineering group. As we expand our real-time player tracking, sport analytics, and broadcast augmentation services, we aim to scale from hundreds of sports arenas to thousands globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and code end-to-end processes for untrained staff to autonomously prepare, install, and monitor Linux servers and networking devices at over 100 sports venues.
  • Enable developers to independently deploy and monitor our player tracking and augmentation applications.
  • Take ownership of long-term technical projects and effectively communicate design choices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with teammates to solve problems, share knowledge, and provide actionable feedback.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation aimed at eliminating repeating escalations.
  • Visit the Lausanne office twice per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • EU/EFTA citizenship or residency permit in Switzerland (B or C).
  • 5+ years of SRE experience with Linux.
  • Strong understanding of the complete Linux server stack, including OS boot and installation, systemd, networking, container deployment, logging, metrics, monitoring, and out-of-band management.
  • Experience designing robust automation processes for a large inventory of on-premise servers.
  • Experience contributing to a large automation codebase using Ansible or a similar platform.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and Python programming.
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to varying audience levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a remote fleet without easy physical access.
  • Experience designing large-scale automation processes for network routers and switches.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSI network layers 2 and 3, able to diagnose network conditions at customer sites.
  • Experience with AWS EC2, S3, VPC, IAM.
  • Experience with Nvidia GPU driver installation and monitoring.

The base salary range for this role is CHF 140,000 - CHF 150,000, depending on seniority and relevant experience.
