Boeing Global Services (BGS) is hiring a Senior Field Engineering Service Technical Analyst to support the E-4B Nightwatch team in Offutt AFB, NE. The E-4B “Nightwatch” aircraft, a strategic command and control military aircraft operated by the United States Air Force (USAF), is a commercial derivative of the 747-200. This aircraft serves as a survivable mobile command post for the National Command Authority.

This role involves providing engineering support for the logistics activities of the Mission Assurance Team in support of the USAF fleet of Boeing E-4B aircraft. The qualified candidate will evaluate mission system performance, provide recommendations for improvements, and serve as the expert for Mission and Avionics Equipment installed on the E-4B aircraft. This is a 100% on-site position at the Offutt AFB, NE location.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead analysis of information to evaluate reported discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to influence product design and operational criteria improvements.
• Review manufacturing non-conformity data for potential impact on the in-service fleet.
• Initiate and monitor complex quality investigations and participate in solution development.
• Lead teams in conducting research on complex technical, maintenance, operational, and quality issues.
• Review complex problems for potential safety issues.
• Develop in-service correspondence on complex multi-discipline systems for continued safe operation and maintenance.
• Participate in complex accident or disabled product on-site surveys or investigations.

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, OR equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of experience in post-production sustainment support.
• Experience working with teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Proficiency in analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics equipment.
• 2+ years of experience with the E-4B platform.
• Strong communication skills and customer focus.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

• Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience collaborating across multi-functional teams.
• Experience with U.S. Military government aviation and partnership with government customers.
• Knowledgeable in fiber optic repair.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience, 13 years related work experience, etc.).
