At Meta Reality Labs, the EMG HW Platform Team is on the hunt for a dedicated Sensor Research Engineer to spearhead our cutting-edge research in EMG-centric sensor technologies. This role is central to enhancing our technology's input efficacy and elevating user experience across our platforms.

What You'll Do

As a Sensor Research Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and drive our research & NTI (New Technology Introduction) roadmap in alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Design sensor solutions and algorithms that refine EMG technology.
  • Foster a deep comprehension of the interplay between hardware and scientific KPIs.
  • Outline and implement research methodologies that transition from concept to application.
  • Lead the creation of robust EMG KPIs and related models.
  • Ensure the integrity and safety of research protocols and human studies.
  • Analyze EMG system failures to enhance design and functionality.
  • Innovate and refine data analytics procedures to support research validity and efficacy.
  • Produce demonstrations that showcase new hardware capabilities using machine learning techniques.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar relevant technical field.
  • A PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and managing complex datasets.
  • Experience in biosignal processing and familiarity with peer-reviewed research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the electrochemical aspects of biopotential electrodes.
  • Background in medical device technology or relevant industries.
  • Experience working in clinical environments and across diverse teams.
