In the evolving role of a Software Developer, you will be a key contributor to our Scrum/DevOps teams, focusing on Big Data projects. Whether developing, testing, or supporting highly complex application software, your efforts are crucial in ensuring alignment with our strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and test cloud-based applications for both new and existing back-end systems, ensuring high-quality standards and cost-effective solutions. - Develop reusable code and components that streamline project efficiency across multiple teams. - Provide essential cloud integration development support and adopt modern design patterns and architectural principles. - Construct unit and integration tests, develop automation tools, and support continuous improvement in Agile environments. - Build rapid technical prototypes for validating emerging technologies and collaborate with Data Science to integrate new methodologies.

Required Skills and Expertise:

- A minimum of 3-5 years in software development with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven ability in implementing robust cloud architecture and comprehensive knowledge of storage, network, and compute services. - Expertise in Java, Python, or Scala; and strong command of SQL. - Experience with big data tools like Spark Scala and distributed computing. - Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, and strong skills in Unix/Linux, JSON, YAML. - Agile Scrum mastery, with additional knowledge in AWS ecosystems – EC2, EMR, AWS Lambda. - Demonstrable skills in automation and deployment tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation are advantageous. - AWS Certification will be a distinct plus.
