Software Engineer Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Meta, you will:

• Build the next generation of backend systems supporting Meta's products.
• Create web and mobile applications reaching over two billion users.
• Develop high volume servers to support diverse content needs.
• Implement highly scalable, performant solutions.
• Leverage algorithms and core computer science concepts in development.
• Troubleshoot production problems and make architectural decisions.
• Specialize in data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems.
• Utilize database management, development environments, object-oriented software, testing software, and multiple programming languages.
• Navigate computer hardware and software systems, including applications, programming, networking, and storage solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted).
• Completion of coursework, research projects, or internships involving:

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $215,658/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual compensation is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The posted salary reflects the base pay only and does not include bonuses, equity, or other incentives. Meta offers a comprehensive benefits package.
