Software Test Engineer, Associate Role in Hanover, MD

We are looking for a driven Software Test Engineer, Associate to join our team in Hanover, MD. This role supports the Minotaur Mission Processor, which enhances data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing prototype solutions for critical military operational shortfalls.
• Conducting evaluation of software systems activities.
• Developing, modifying, and applying standards for software systems quality.
• Reviewing software design, specifications, and plans for compliance.
• Providing verification and validation of software system requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Devise and apply testing procedures for HII’s Minotaur product and third-party vendors.
• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback.
• Perform test creation, execution, and analysis.
• Support system integration events on various aircraft.
• Potential travel between 10-20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in related field or High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
• 0-2 years of software testing/development in a Linux command line environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in network communication protocols, scripting, and Agile development.
• Active US Secret clearance.
• Proven ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering problems.

Physical Requirements

Work may require office, industrial, or laboratory environments. Must be capable of climbing ladders and handling confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
