Job Summary

This Sr. Business Analyst position is designed to enhance our strategy and customer insights to drive product marketing. The role involves preparing analytic tools to understand product launches, customer behavior, market fit, and product quality. This analyst is a crucial member of the analytics team supporting Vivint’s product marketing organization. The role involves collaboration with the marketing team while reporting to a centralized analytics group for data resources and mentorship. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with 4-5 years of experience in SQL and some familiarity with Tableau.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support innovative, meaningful, and useful visualizations with optimal performance for end users
• Adhere to and promote analytic best practices for consistent performance, accuracy, quality, and reliability
• Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Product Marketing teams
• Own the analytics support and reporting (Snowflake SQL and Tableau) for the product marketing team
• Analyze large operational data sets and provide data-driven recommendations

Required Skills

• Communicate complex data clearly and concisely as simple stories that drive action and define strategies
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and take initiative
• Advanced SQL, Database, and data visualization skills

Required Education/Experience

• 4+ years experience with SQL
• 4+ years of analytics, consulting, or operations experience
• Proven track record of delivering $1m+ revenue improvements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Successful history of thriving in a fast-paced environment with constant change
• Willingness to challenge ideas and the status quo collaboratively and constructively to achieve goals
