Role Summary

We are seeking a driven Senior Data Governance Analyst passionate about data. This crucial role ensures our data is reliable, consistent, and accurate. Partnering across data domains and functional areas, the Senior Data Governance Analyst ensures compliance with data governance policies and helps develop data standards, processes, and procedures, treating data as a corporate asset.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with partners for data ownership, classification, and metadata management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance policies.

* Lead Business/Functional Data Working Groups to define business processes, capture necessary metadata, define metrics, identify data challenges, and document recommendations.

* Assist in identifying and documenting Critical Data Elements, Reference Data, and Master Data to ensure data management best practices.

* Standardize and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, metrics, and data assets within the Alation Data Catalog.

* Proactively identify internal Data Governance projects and see them through to completion.

* Advocate for data governance initiatives and promote a culture of data stewardship.

* Provide training and support to partners to increase data literacy and awareness.

Basic Qualifications

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Stewardship, Master Data Management, Data Quality, or Metadata Management.

* Strong understanding of Data Governance principles, policies, and practices including data ownership, classification, metadata management, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA).

* Proficient verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills with problem-solving abilities.

* Experience with data catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica Axon.

* Knowledge of Python, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the Media & Entertainment field is a plus.

* Consulting experience.

* Training experience.

Educational Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position is:

• Seattle and New York City: $118,000 - $158,200 per year
• Los Angeles: $112,600 - $151,000 per year

Actual base pay offered will consider internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
