Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Collaborate with Worldwide Sales, Customer Success, and Outcomes teams to understand their goals and provide data-driven insights.
• Design and implement machine learning models for customer adoption and targeted account recommendations.
• Deploy predictive analytics for customer churn and create risk prediction models to improve customer retention.
• Manage analytics lifecycle—from understanding business needs to developing automated reporting and dynamic visualizations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into broader company workflows.
• Present your data analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering data-driven decision making.
• Promote a culture of data-driven insights within the organization.

What You'll Need

The ideal candidate will have:

• An advanced degree in a quantitative field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or 7+ years in a similar role without an advanced degree.
• Extensive expertise in machine learning, statistics, and predictive modeling.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL and visualization tools like Tableau.
• A proven ability to forge effective cross-functional partnerships and use data to influence strategic decisions.

Salary Range

Smartsheet offers a competitive base salary range, which is adjusted based on geographical location. For California & New York, the range is $118,800-$172,800 and for other US States, it's $110,000-$160,000. This role includes various incentive opportunities and may be eligible for stock options.
