Job Summary

As a Senior ETL Developer, you will be an integral part of our Corporate IT team, responsible for maintaining and developing data integration solutions to support our Analytics platform. Your work will adhere to data vault, data mart, dimensional modeling, and ETL standards and guidelines, utilizing Matillion, Snowflake data warehouses/databases, and Power BI for reporting.

Your role will involve understanding both business and technical requirements and translating them into data integration designs alongside the Corporate Data Architect. You will also support the Agile process, including development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects concurrently while closely collaborating with the architecture team to deliver solution designs.
• Design, develop, and review ETL programs using modern ETL tools like Matillion, DBT, and Python.
• Mentor the technical team in developing ETL jobs.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance improvement.
• Conduct technical reviews, data validation, and end-to-end testing of ETL objects, including source data analysis and profiling.
• Document project details and updates following standards.
• Support QA in end-to-end testing and provide regular project status updates to the project manager.
• Collaborate with the deployment team for code migration across environments.
• Triage production issues and provide code fixes.
• Exhibit proven experience in database administration with cloud data platforms like Snowflake.

Education and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in implementing BI projects within large-scale enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Hands-on experience in building large cloud data warehouses using Snowflake, including database architecture design, data transformations, stored procedures, account and security principles, performance management, etc.
• Proficiency with cloud computing services, specifically deploying and running services in Azure.
• Expert-level understanding of Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and ProdOps.
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Matillion, ADF, and DBT.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and familiarity with relational, Vault, and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Financial industry data fluency is preferred but not required.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field is typically required.

Compensation

For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is $148,614 - $201,066/year. The position is incentive eligible. Total compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) will consider factors such as geographic location, role responsibilities, qualifications, talent availability, specialization, and business needs. This range may be updated in the future.
