Job Title: Sr. Manager - Master Data Management

Location: Westchester, IL

Reports To: Director – Global Commercial/GTM Digital Partner and Data Governance

Primary Function

Ingredion is seeking a Sr. Manager - Master Data Management to lead the global optimization and enhancement of customer and material domains. This role involves utilizing advanced digital technology solutions and collaborating with external partners to implement Ingredion’s MDM global strategy. You will play a crucial role in managing data governance councils, developing global data policies and procedures, and supporting digital partners for MDM tool implementation. A key aspect of the role is the audit and analysis of MDM activities against established policies.

Core Responsibilities

Leading Ingredion’s Data Governance Framework

Develop, communicate, and adopt global data practices, policies, and standards. Advocate for MDM best practices and ensure their integration into future business and DTS projects.

Leading Ingredion’s Data Governance Activities

Provide leadership to business and data owners to maintain high-quality governance activities. This includes data quality assessments, cataloging, usage review, stewardship of high-value attributes, and data security.

  • Establish an enterprise-wide data governance strategy including master data management, data catalog, and data quality guidelines.
  • Devise a data governance framework focusing on data quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with data and business owners to establish policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, and related tools.
  • Implement a roadmap for MDM tool integration.
  • Develop, review, and monitor Data Governance metrics to assess the program’s performance and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders from both Digital Technology Solutions and Business data owners to align digital technology solutions with business objectives.

Lead Ingredion’s Data Governance Compliance

Monitor, report, and communicate MDM performance and compliance against Ingredion’s data policies and procedures.

Technical Responsibilities

Manage technical resources for the deployment and configuration of Ingredion’s MDM authoring tool. Analyze existing management systems to identify integration opportunities with new and existing technologies.

Project Management

Participate in digital technology projects ensuring adherence to MDM policies and procedures.

Training and Support

Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users on new systems and technologies. Provide ongoing support and updates to ensure system effectiveness over time.

Risk Management and Compliance

Identify and mitigate risks associated with data capture, storage, and use, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations globally.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation within the data owner organization. Promote continuous improvement by optimizing business processes and digital technology applications.

User Adoption

Support business and data teams to ensure adoption of MDM best practices within Ingredion.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • Proven leadership in MDM global framework analysis, implementation, and optimization.
  • Experience with major applications like SAP, SFDC, Workday, etc.
  • Expertise in advanced customer and material management.
  • Strategy and analytical skills to lead complex projects.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills in a global matrixed organization.
  • A results-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement, agility, and delivering tangible business results.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a Digital Technology Systems Master Data role.
  • Experience managing data governance professionals and inspiring team performance.
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and Big Data/Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/Reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proficient with desktop tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to successfully execute projects.
