The Role: Staff Fullstack Engineer, AI Products

We are seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to enhance our product offerings using AI technologies, including our latest initiatives Khanmigo and other AI integrations. This role involves developing scalable solutions that address the needs of under-resourced learners and teachers. Working with technologies like Go, GraphQL, JavaScript, React, React Native, and Redux, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful projects that make education accessible to everyone.

What You'll Do

• Integrate cutting-edge learning science to identify and close learning gaps.
• Collaborate with public school districts to expand our impact on a large scale.
• Develop intuitive tools for teachers to enhance classroom learning using Khan Academy’s resources.

Your work will drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in a way that aligns with our core value of “Cultivate Learning Mindsets”.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates will possess a robust background in developing world-class product experiences, preferably with:

• Over 10 years of experience in interactive web app development.
• Experience with Generative AI/LLMs and familiarity with prompt engineering and generative models.
• Strong project management and software maintenance skills.
• A passion for the mission of providing free, quality education worldwide.
