Join Peraton as a Systems / Algorithm Engineer

Peraton is actively seeking a Systems / Algorithm Engineer to engage in high-visibility projects focused on ASE algorithm design and digital simulation testing. This role is pivotal for ensuring state-of-the-art algorithmic integrity and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

As a Systems / Algorithm Engineer, you will:

• Conduct research and development in software and data processing algorithms.
• Ensure compliance with software standards.
• Collaborate with vendors on algorithm design, implementation, and testability.
• Execute and utilize Digital System Models (DSM) for performance requirements and system capabilities analysis.
• Estimate and validate performance requirements using DSM techniques.
• Work with testing teams to validate and understand field data using DSM.
• Design, develop, and refine software systems through scientific analysis and mathematical modeling.
• Review vendor algorithm designs and deliverables.
• Create and maintain comprehensive algorithm documentation.
• Develop scripts and tools to enhance testing protocols (e.g., DSM modifications).
• Apply machine learning (ML) concepts, methodologies, and implementations.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• Education: Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, or 7 years with Ph.D.
• Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in DSM creation, execution, and system performance modeling.
• Understanding of digital-twin concepts.
• Knowledge of ML methodologies and implementation.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
• Availability to regularly work from the customer facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a DoD acquisition project management office.
• Background in software or systems design for DoD systems.

Compensation

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This range represents typical compensation for this position, contingent upon experience and other factors.
