About the Role

Position: Systems Engineer

We seek a highly skilled Systems Engineer with experience in the food and beverage or life sciences industries.

As a key member of our Engineering team, you will develop real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing floor to the enterprise level using a variety of programming, configuration, and design tools.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions.
• Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle.
• System programming, debugging, and testing.
• Creating project documentation, including engineering notes, proposals, and case studies.
• Commissioning new solutions at client sites and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Learning and adopting new technologies.
• Mentoring colleagues and being challenged in your role.

Technologies Used

• PLC Programming Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Modicon, GE, etc.
• HMI Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Schneider Electric, etc.
• SCADA Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, Wonderware, GE, Siemens, etc.
• System Networking: Ethernet, Routing and Switching, EthernetIP, Profibus. Experience in DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote IO, Modbus, etc is a plus.
• Vision Platforms: Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.
• Experience with Python, Historian (PI System), and databases is a plus
• Project Documentation: Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree.
• Experience with some or all the listed technologies.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and full-time access to a personal vehicle.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% within the USA and Canada.
