What we do: The Systems Integration Engineer, Aircraft Components is part of the larger assembly and integration product team for the eVTOL vehicle. Duties for this position include operating within the CAD product tree structure in the 3DX/CATIA V6 environment and confirming that all aircraft subsystem requirements are adequately met and all hardware components are packaged efficiently within the airframe structure. This will involve the construction of prototype and flight test vehicles as well as production flight vehicles. This position requires on-site work 5 days a week. What you can do: Help in Zonal management of the digital mock-up CAD for various sections of the aircraft Collaborate with various engineering subject areas to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft Ensure all aircraft subsystem requirements are adequately met and packaged efficiently within the airframe structure Help create multiple standardized processes and procedures, while collaborating with the System and Design teams throughout the design phases Control space allocation for all systems Create and manage Interface Control Models (ICMs) for their zone Help manage routing envelopes for all systems Ensure all systems are accessible and maintainable Ensure all system separation requirements are upheld Up to 10% of domestic and international travel may be required Additional duties as assigned What you can contribute: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's preferred Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in aviation and/or automotive industries (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Experience with CAD (CATIA V5/V6/3DX) and BOM Experience with CAD with Model Based Design (MBD) and Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FT&A) Experience working with cross-functional teams Experience in aviation, automotive, and/or the mobility sector with UAS or UAM Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent project management skills Highly collaborative and works well both independently and as part of a team Sense of urgency, proactive delivery of communication, and follow-up Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to independently prioritize and complete work within time constraints Open-minded attitude to problem-solving and collaboration You may also contribute: Experience with Interface Control Document (ICD) and Interface Control Model (ICM) documentation preferred Experience in Aircraft Functional Hazard Assessment (AFHA) preferred Experience in Environmental Control Systems preferred Knowledge in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) preferred Familiarity with practical application of DO-160 preferred Experience in Zonal Analysis preferred Knowledge in Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and Harness design preferred Our offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Base pay offered may fluctuate based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
