Founders Factory's newest concept, Ogma, part of the Mission Studio and backed by Nesta, sees a solution to a significant problem.
The Problem:
In the UK, at least 10% of children have a speech, language, and communication need. Delays disproportionately affect disadvantaged children, and early communication difficulties lead to poorer literacy, mental health, and employability in adulthood. Early intervention is vital, but under the current system, children often wait months before they can be assessed. We see an opportunity to use advanced AI, LLM, and Conversational AI to transform speech therapy, making it more efficient, cost-effective, and accessible.
The Solution:
Ogma utilizes AI to enhance speech and language therapy, making it more effective and accessible for families. By doing so, we create a unique data set and train its models, positioning ourselves as market leaders in AI speech therapy solutions.
We aim to launch an MVP to the market by December and start commercial operations in Q1 2024. This offers an exciting opportunity to shape the company's direction and develop an impactful product with the founder, Louise.
We are seeking a Technical Co-Founder who will:
- Bring extensive knowledge of machine learning, language modeling, data science, and platform development
- Work with the CEO to build Ogma's technical vision with an actionable plan
- Foster a culture of rigorous data science, including responsible AI, and scientific excellence
- Have a robust product and technical mindset
You should ideally have a significant experience with machine learning and AI, excellent leadership skills, a product mindset, and be able to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
