Job Opportunity: Technical Lead, Generative AI at Litera

The Opportunity
The Generative AI Innovation team at Litera is revolutionizing how we and our clients leverage data for competitive advantage. As a Tech Lead, you will collaborate with a wide range of engineering and non-engineering teams to architect and proof-of-concept (POC) GenAI features and solutions for both our market products and internal processes. This role is a chance to become a pivotal member of a pioneering team within a market-leading company.
A Day in the Life
As a crucial part of our team, you will:
- Collaborate with development teams to design, architect, and POC innovative GenAI-based products and features.
- Work with non-engineering teams to leverage GenAI technologies for enhancing internal processes.
- Research, evaluate, and document emerging technologies.
- Serve as a repository of expert-level knowledge on generative AI and other new technologies.
- Advocate for responsible use of GenAI to benefit the company and clients.
- Mentor developers and other staff to develop GenAI skills.
- Write clean, maintainable, and extensible code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, QA) to complete tasks.
- Manage individual task priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to software and security best practices (i.e., object-oriented design patterns, OWASP Top 10, SOLID design principles).
- Deliver scalable GenAI solutions.
Role Progression
Within 1 month:
- Complete our Engineering onboarding plan.
- Establish relationships with the GenAI innovation team.
- Familiarize yourself with Litera's product offerings.
- Assist other teams with GenAI projects.
- Begin technology research tasks.
- Support the Director of Innovation and team members with tasks.
Within 3 months:
- Collaborate on PoC tasks.
- Document and evaluate new technologies.
- Communicate with other organizational groups about leveraging GenAI to solve process challenges.
Within 6 months:
- Design, architect, and POC robust features and products using GenAI and other new technologies.
- Translate product ideas into technical designs and development tasks.
- Conduct sessions and webinars to disseminate new technology knowledge across the Engineering department.
- Identify new opportunities for leveraging GenAI.
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong backend development skills.
- 2+ years of ML/AI development experience, including expertise with:
- Large Language Models (preferably Azure OpenAI)
- Prompt Engineering
- LLM fine-tuning
- Embeddings/vectorization/semantic similarity
- RAG
- 5+ years of experience with technologies like .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Web/REST APIs.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL databases (SQL Azure preferred).
- 4+ years of experience with tools such as GitHub, Jira / Confluence, and Microsoft Visual Studio Code (or Microsoft Visual Studio).
- Preferred skills/experience:
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with PyTorch, Tensor
