Job Opportunity: Matillion ETL Developer at Birlasoft

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced Matillion ETL Developer to join our Enterprise IT team. This role involves maintaining and developing cutting-edge data integration solutions to bolster our Analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business and technical requirements, translating them into effective data integration designs and deliverables while collaborating closely with our Snowflake Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data integration solutions aligned with EDW, Data Mart, and Dimensional Modeling standards.
• Utilize Matillion with Snowflake data warehouses/databases & Qlik for the reporting platform.
• Support Agile processes including Development, Testing, Deployment, and Post-Production Support.
• Participate and assist in Solution Design, working closely with the Architecture team.
• Convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications for Data Models and ETL programs.
• Design Logical and Physical Data Models using Dimensional Modeling techniques.
• Develop and review ETL programs primarily using Matillion, Python, and R.
• Provide guidance and coaching to the technical team in ETL job development.
• Enhance performance and tuning of Matillion mappings.
• Conduct technical reviews, data validation, and end-to-end testing of ETL objects, including source data analysis and data profiling.
• Create and maintain necessary project documentation per standards.
• Support Quality Engineers (QE) on end-to-end testing and provide daily/weekly project status reports to the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with the deployment team for code migration across different environments.
• Triage production issues and work on code fixes.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience implementing BI projects in a large-scale enterprise data warehouse environment.
• At least one successful implementation of Matillion with Snowflake is a must.
