Arthrex, Inc., a pioneering leader in orthopedics and medical device innovation, is seeking a Temporary Data Scientist for our Data & Analytics COE - IT team in Naples, FL. This position provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the full lifecycle development of machine learning models relevant to General AI, NLP, CV, LLM, and more.
Main Objective:
Support the full lifecycle development of machine learning models. This entails problem analysis, data collection and exploration, model design, testing, validation, and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data engineers and domain experts to assess data quality and propose cleaning methods.
- Utilize statistical analysis and ML techniques for data profiling and organization.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to design machine learning solutions and establish acceptance criteria.
- Independently design and execute experiments to validate ML solutions and principles.
- Interface with external partners to integrate analytical and ML tools into business processes.
- Communicate insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Participate in ML solution verifications, model deployments, and process monitoring.
- Lead and support production and dissemination of publications within the ML scope.
- Support external Quality System Audits, including those by FDA and other regulatory bodies.
Skills:
- Proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning modeling using scripting languages.
- Expertise in organizing, documenting, and version controlling analysis scripts and models.
- Capability to organize and visualize numerical data effectively.
- Experience with agile software development lifecycle processes preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, Physics, or related field required.
