Job Overview
TE Connectivity (formerly known as TYCO) in Oostkamp is home to 750 employees who develop and manufacture electromechanical components for leading companies in the automotive sector, shipping our products globally to clients like BMW, VW, and Ford. In addition to production, our onsite teams design and optimize the needed production technologies and process technologies. Our dedication to innovation and engineering excellence helps address our customers' most complex needs while combining engineering and operations for cost-efficient and optimized production.
Responsibilities
You will engage in:
- Business and system analysis of ERP applications, handling implementation of IT projects, and support of local applications related to production control, logistics, quality, workshop follow-up, and reporting.
- Analyzing and implementing applications and essential modifications.
- Creating and managing reports around data warehouses using SQL Server, SQL-Reporting Services, VB.net, and PBi.
- Daily management of the existing application landscape and monitoring of batch programs and SQL servers.
- Analyzing new or changed ERP needs, drafting FRD's (functional requirement documents), testing solutions delivered by corporate SAP/MES teams, and overseeing their implementation including training for end-users and project management.
- (Optional) Managing SharePoint environments.
Required Background
Ideal candidates should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Master's in Business and Information Management, or equivalent experience, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge or interest in ERP (SAP) & MES systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.Net, VBA, SQL, C#, ASP.Net. Knowledge of SharePoint, Java, Office365, and Python is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills for developing applications with end-users and improving existing ones.
- Genuine teamwork capabilities, an open mind eager to share ideas, including with other TE locations.
- Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English; German language skills are advantageous.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, exemplifying our Continuous Improvement philosophy. Experience with Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, or Digital tools is beneficial.
- The ability to remain composed in a volatile, complex environment and handle a wide range of daily stimuli and changes.
