About the Role

We are seeking a Test Lead in our Credit & Sales Technology (CST) sector for the bank’s Institutional Division. In this pivotal role, you’ll contribute to building world-class technology for wholesale credit, capital management, corporate finance, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), CRM, and data insights.

This position involves tackling large-scale data management challenges in a complex environment. You'll apply your expertise in designing, implementing, and executing a robust, scalable, and cost-effective test strategy for a cloud-based Data & Analytics Platform powered by AWS. A deep understanding of modern data architecture paradigms like Data Mesh is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Test Lead, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and ensuring the quality of cloud-based solutions.
• Facilitating application teams’ use of our new cloud-native application platform.
• Building out infrastructure as code, developing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting production releases.
• Utilizing automation to deploy infrastructure, applications, and fully automate security and governance controls.

What Will You Do?

• Collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer and Data Architect to understand data platform demands.
• Work with domain and data platform teams to interpret data sets and designs.
• Analyze raw data formats from various internal and external sources.
• Develop testing models to assess data transformation.
• Collaborate with data and cloud engineers on key design artifacts.
• Build relationships with business and technology stakeholders to support institutional and enterprise data mesh initiatives.
• Evaluate new technologies to address capability gaps and improve performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should ideally possess:

• Strong understanding and experience with big data concerns (data governance, scalability, security, observability, reliability, etc.).
• Knowledge of data warehousing technologies (AWS Redshift) and data storage formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON) including table formats (Iceberg).
• Experience in ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) Testing.
• Proficiency with data transformation and testing tools/frameworks (dbt, Great Expectations, Soda).
• More than 5 years of experience in data/software engineering, data science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Rust, GoLang, Java) and SQL.
• Relevant AWS Cloud Certifications (desirable).
• Experience in data modeling to support business data requirements.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Terraform, Codefresh).
• Familiarity with tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with analysts and engineers.
