About the Role: Urban Analyst

AECOM's Buildings + Places business line in Arlington, VA, is seeking an Urban Analyst to join our Global Urban Analytics Center of Excellence (COE). This role involves working collaboratively with core members of the Urban Analytics COE as well as other AECOM teams to deliver high-quality products and solutions to our clients globally. This position is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scientific assignments under direct supervision.
• Engage in a variety of projects, tasks, and data-related activities.
• Handle data mining, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tasks.
• Create reusable scripts and data pipelines to automate tasks.
• Develop client-facing, user-friendly dashboards, tools, and applications.
• Produce graphics, maps, reports, and presentations.
• Work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate closely with the project team on scope and delivery.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in R, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong data visualization skills.
• Experience with web development.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS.
• Proficiency with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools/libraries in Python or R.
• Experience querying and manipulating data from databases.
• Ability to create interactive dashboards and tools.
• Experience working with spatial data and GIS.
• Knowledge of data engineering and machine learning methods.
