About the Role
As an Analytics Specialist, you will be an integral member of the central analytics team at Razorpay. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to create significant impact and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals from various backgrounds.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with large, complex datasets to solve significant business problems using data mining, experimentation, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and product, derive insights, and validate hypotheses with rigorous methodologies or formulate problems for modeling with machine learning.
- Apply problem-solving skills to independently structure, deconstruct, and develop first-principle solutions that integrate state-of-the-art perspectives.
- Participate actively in the product life cycle by contributing to ideation, reviewing Product Requirement Documents, defining success criteria, and identifying and recommending improvements for product features.
- Conduct root cause analyses and generate insights through automation and self-serve platforms for recurring use cases.
- Develop compelling stories with business insights that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with Business, Product, and Data Engineering teams to continuously improve data accuracy through feedback and scoping on instrumentation quality.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in analytics and data science.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience in defining business and product metrics, creating and automating self-serve dashboards using tools like Tableau, Qlikview, or Looker.
- Ability to structure and analyze data using techniques such as EDA, Cohort analysis, and Funnel analysis, providing actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with large-scale structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including data preprocessing and dimensionality reduction techniques.
- Experience in Consumer-tech organizations is a plus.
- Understanding of qualitative and quantitative aspects of product strategies, leveraging this to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Working knowledge of A/B testing, Significance testing, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, Web Analytics, and Statistical Learning.
