Job Profile: AWS + Snowflake + Python Lead Data Engineer
We are seeking experienced Data Engineers to develop new, modern data ingestion pipelines using the latest technologies such as AWS Athena, Lambdas, Python, Spark.
You will be working on data pipelines and tools to provide the core data ingestion framework.
Technical Skills: SQL, Python, PySpark, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, Athena, EC2, IAM, Redshift, DMS, Airflow, Jenkins, Snowflake
Responsibilities include:
- Developing end-to-end data solutions (ingest, storage, integration, processing, access) on AWS
- Migrating data from traditional relational database systems to AWS relational databases such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, and Redshift
- Having 10+ years of IT experience with a background and experience in data engineering/analytics
- Having solid hands-on experience with Cloud DB platforms (preferably Snowflake), building data pipelines, and SQL, Python for Data Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to perform, support and lead all aspects of Data Engineering strategy
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Ensuring efficient data pipeline engineering, deployment, ongoing operations, and continuous improvement
- Managing and performing data operations and data engineering requirements including automation and optimization
- Being highly motivated, self-driven, capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Being a creative problem solver and highly collaborative teammate who is comfortable working as a major contributor
- Data Engineering and/or Cloud Platform certifications are a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable presenting findings to senior management
