About the Data Engineer Position
We are seeking to strengthen our IT-BS team by adding a dedicated and skilled Data Engineer (m/f) on a permanent contract (CDI) basis. As an integral part of our Data Team, consisting of developers, DevOps, and Proxy Product Owners, you will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining our robust data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data flows primarily on AWS, utilizing services such as AWS Step Functions, AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS S3, etc.
- Build and maintain scalable data structures to support diverse analytical and reporting needs.
- Develop secure APIs and user interfaces, incorporate appropriate security policies.
- Optimize and adjust data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on data architecture and processes.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement enterprise solutions.
- Document technical designs, processes, and standards for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with extensive AWS technology exposure.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration techniques in a high-service-level environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
- Basic knowledge of machine learning technologies, particularly AWS SageMaker.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills in a remote and multicultural agile environment.
Additional AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty, are a plus.
