As an ambitious, award-winning company experiencing significant growth, we are currently looking for a Claims Insight Analyst to join our Performance team. About the Role

The Claims Insight Analyst will play a crucial role in driving significant improvements in claims indemnity performance, working in partnership with 1st Central Underwriting Limited. This position serves as a vital link between frontline claims operations and reserving & pricing. You can work remotely or be based in one of our offices in Salford Quays, Manchester, or Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver regular reporting to business leaders on current and future claims indemnity performance
  • Analyze performance trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities aligned with executive priorities
  • Utilize multiple data sources to develop deep insights into claims performance, measured across the balanced scorecard
  • Present and visualize analysis for clear understanding and value addition to the business
  • Collaborate with operational teams to recommend and implement step changes in indemnity performance
  • Work closely with Finance to track and evidence delivery of benefits across expenses, income, and indemnity
  • Continuously evaluate company performance against market benchmarks with industry benchmarking providers
  • Support the wider Performance team, leveraging skills and capabilities to respond to business needs

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Technical competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a Claims role within the Insurance industry is desirable
  • Competency in SQL or similar tools
  • Understanding of actuarial methodologies
  • Ability to present and visualize data to a high standard for diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to overcoming data challenges
  • Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially focused and results-driven
  • Solid understanding of the Motor insurance industry
