About Corporate Treasury at Goldman Sachs

Our Corporate Treasury team is dedicated to managing Goldman Sachs’ liquidity, funding, and capital with the aim of maximizing net interest income and return on equity. This involves strategic liquidity portfolio management, effective liability planning & execution, and meticulous asset liability management. Our CT Engineering division supports these efforts through top-notch analytics, methodologies, and infrastructure solutions which help guide overall strategy and risk management decisions.

About Your Role

As a Data Analyst in the Data Office, you’ll play a crucial role in the governance of data-related activities including collection, persistence, and distribution. You will guide significant data uplift projects helping streamline and improve data processes across multiple Treasury teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing data used within the Treasury to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and consolidation.
  • Interacting with data consumers to define requirements and propose solutions.
  • Identifying authorized data sources with various providers.
  • Creating logical data models using Alloy to standardize views of data.
  • Enforcing data control and governance standards to ensure data quality.
  • Developing and applying data quality rules.
  • Handling data exceptions and issues related to data quality.
  • Advising on data privacy control requirements.
  • Training junior staff on data modeling best practices and tool usage.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in technology.
  • Proven experience in data management systems.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other data handling tools.
  • Past work involving collaboration with several teams and stakeholders.
  • Exposure to BI tools and Data Quality monitoring tools (added advantage).
